#5G: techniek in een pizzadoos

The future of wireless service, known as 5G technology, is expected to deliver wireless internet at much faster speeds than existing cellular connections. It will also “create massive infrastructure demands on cities” by replacing traditional cell towers with containers — some as small as pizza boxes — says Jason Tofsky in Goldman Sachs Investment Banking. As 5G expands, Tofsky expects lines to blur between network owners and technology companies as business models naturally converge. “We could see some interesting combinations of technology companies and telecom and communications companies coming together in a way that 10 years ago none of us would have thought possible,” Tofsky says.
